First you will need to wake up. Unfortunately it will be early. Life is wicked for those who race. Registration usually
starts at 8:30 so hit the road with some room to spare. I do not recommend getting loaded the night before. It makes for
a long day. Breakfast is a bonus. It is a long time til lunch.

When you get at the race site you will need to find a spot in the "pits". Once completed, you need to remove all
loose items from the passenger cabin and put them somewhere out of the way. You also should, but don't have to, remove your
spare tire and jack for weight reduction. Registration and car check in (tech) will be from 8:30 and 9:30. So find the registration
table and go to town. If you have a question, ask. The people here are incredibly nice and helpful.

After registering and getting your car teched, you hopefully have some time to walk the course. There should be a course
map to look at as well. I recommend walking it two times myself. Be sure to pay attention and plan your racing lines. Some
clubs will offer a novice walk-through. You will be led through the course by a member who has a bunch of autocross experience.
Do this if it is your first time. Don't try to be Johnny Cool and do it on your own. It will not be as much fun for you.
You do not get a practice run. This will be followed by a drivers meeting where you will receive info on run groups and
other important stuff. This is mandatory for all drivers.
The first car off the line is around 10:30. The racing continues til around 4:00. Please note: If you race, you must work
the course. That is why there are run groups. While one group runs, another works the course. The number of runs depends
on the number of entries and the time available. There will be between 3 and 6 runs. After last run the course is broken
down by everyone. Start packing your stuff while they figure the winners. Finally, they give out awards. Usually you leave
a race around five or so.
